Isle of Man TT Tour 2020!

Update! TT Tour 2019 is booked and full!

Hello TT Fans.

We are preparing to leave for our 2019 tour in just a few weeks and the excitement is building. We offer the TT like no other tour group as we take a whole year to prepare and educate our tour members for the motorcycle experience of a lifetime. We’ve had such a great time on our previous trips that several of this year’s group are repeats from our last tour. One of the reason’s to start this early is that the Steam Packet Ferry tickets go on sale shortly and good traveling dates sell out almost immediately. Also by taking a year to prepare, we have you ready and knowledgeable so when you step off the plane in the U.K. there are no surprises.

Here is a brief summary of what you’ll be experiencing on our tour:

Our event experience is like no other TT tour available. We keep our tour small, no more than 12 people in a group to keep the experience personal. We take roughly 2 weeks to fly into London, the Isle of Man and back. In these two weeks we will get to experience U.K.  history with several days spent as tourists in the great town of London. Included will be a trip to the historic Ace Cafe for either a cuppa or dinner. We will then venture south to pick up our bikes. You have you choice of two wheeled transportation from basic to extreme. There are numerous Triumph, Honda, Ducati and BMW models to choose from. My suggestion is to pick something not too big and something you will be comfortable on. Our basic package includes either a half faired Honda 600 or a Yamaha Fazer 600. There are GS1200’s, tourers and more extreme sport bikes available but the essence of this trip is the experience and not the bikes. Remember we will probably experience a fair amount of rain on the trip as well as riding on the opposite side of the road which will be a new experience for many of you so a comfortable, nimble mount will prove best.

We will then venture North to experience some of England’s most beautiful scenery and roads in the Yorkshire Dales. We’ll spend the night in various places, some dating back to the 13th Century. From there we head to Heysham for the ferry to the Isle of Man. We will spend a minimum of 7 full days on the Island so you get experience the entire race week. Most other tours fly you in for several non-peak race days. Not us. You will experience part of practice week where the traffic is less and you can enjoy the roads more and get to watch the riders as they work their way up to race day. Add to that the rare experience of actually riding a lap of the TT course at your leisure and you’ll have an experience to last a lifetime.

But that’s just part of the tour. We will introduce you to a real live TT race team and have you actually be a part of the effort. Each tour member gets their picture on a race bike that will be running TT week. We will also be privy to exclusive meet and greet times with the riders and mechanics and have our own event inside the paddock. No one else offers you this type of experience.

And we’re not done yet. The basic tour includes camping but for just a little more we include either well equipped Glamping or an Isle of Man homestay. This year the tour is staying in an estate overlooking the Irish Sea in Laxey. Other benefits are a tour of the Island to show you the best viewing and photography spots, things most people never get a chance to see. We will introduce you to TT personalities and take you around the Island to show you the majestic views and historic places that abound all over this beautiful local. We start to wrap up our TT trip by gathering to watch the Senior race on Friday. We will then head back to the U.K. mainland via Liverpool then a quick dash back to drop off the bikes.

Our last day or two in the U.K. will include a magic trip to Brooklands Museum, the world’s oldest purpose built motorsports track. An amazing trip all it’s own with just about every marquise you know getting it’s start right here like Triumph, MG and others.

So really you are getting several trips in one, something no one else comes close to achieving. And you can pick and choose which of these activities you would like to participate in or you can venture out on your own if you like.

This amazing experience starts at $6500. This price includes everything for the trip except your flight. We offer this separate as we always have guests who have their own flyer miles. This year I arranged round trip flights for $500. We will meet in Mobile Al. and ride down to Orlando for our flight and while we’re there drop in on the Ace Cafe Orlando. The start up package includes your basic bike option and accommodations and the all important ferry tickets. We do require you to handle the bike deposit as each model is differently priced. It is refunded 100% upon returning the bike unharmed. All you will need is your flight and spending money for fuel, food and mementos. None of the trip perks cost extra. The upgrade to homestay on the Island will run about $500. Our camping option includes an onsite cafe and showers.

Your first deposit is due by the end of May. By submitting your $500 deposit it secures your place on the tour and let’s us prepare for accommodations which also book a year out. Due to the nature of this trip, deposits and payments are non-refundable as we have to have a commitment due to all the necessary preparations. The remainder of the balance is then split into two payments. One by September 1 and the remainder by December 1st.

One final note, riding experience should be at intermediate level at least due to the environment. Narrow winding roads and an unlimited speed limit with one way traffic on the IOM mountain are serious temptations plus hundreds of riders from all over the world requires one’s constant attention and sharp skills.

As a side note, if we receive enough interest, we will be adding a tour to the August Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT. This will be fly in trip requiring just over a week and will be priced according to participation.

I look forward to adding you to our 2020 roster. Please feel free to ask questions, we are glad to assist you through the whole trip experience.
